Ellie was raised in the Atascosa County Animal Control and was finally adopted. As a matter of fact she was adopted a couple of times and returned for various reasons. The last time she came back was due to her current owner dumping her at the Wilson County no kill facility in Floresville by tying her to the fence in the middle of the night. Can you imagine how scared she was? By scanning her for a chip they were able to contacted the ACAC and as they always do, they took her back because she is one of their babies. Microchips work! Ellie has gotten the short in of the stick her entire life and we decided enough was enough. We pulled her from the county and placed her in a loving foster home where she has been shown love and kindness. Ellie is a fun loving gal who enjoys toys and playing fetch. She LOVES humans! Ellie was kenneled with a variety of other dogs threw out her multiple stays at the county without issue but will defend herself if challenged by a dominate female, but otherwise has absolutely no reaction except to play. When challenged by a male, she will submit. She is very smart and needs to be challenged mentally as well as physically. She needs a family that will love her, continue to socialize her and give her a chance to be the dog we all know she can be! Could you be the perfect person for her? You will get more love back from her than you give!
